Invercargill
Founded in 1856, Invercargill is well known for it’s friendly people, wonderful wide streets, interesting historic buildings and great tourist facilities for a city of it’s size.
It is one of the southernmost cities in the world and is at the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand. We are often the recipients of jokes about low temperatures but it doesn’t take long to appreciate the flip side, quick and easy travel on wide streets with fantastic shopping along Kelvin Street.
Invercargill residents are fortunate enough to have fabulous sporting facilities such as the only indoor cycling velodrome in New Zealand, a superb sports stadium and brand new hockey turf all thanks to our community funding.

Really Good Facilities! The best customer service there is. Would definitely stay at this Invercargill motel again! Clean and very well stocked kitchen.

Friendly staff very keen to go the extra mile. Great laundry facilities and superbly clean units with every tool in the Kitchen! Yahoo!! This Invercargill motel could teach other moteliers a thing or two!

“One of the positives at Invercargill was the Tower Lodge Motel. Good accomodation starts with the contact at the reception. The owners of this motel are fantastic. The lady was most friendly and attentive. Her local knowledge, directions and suggestions of things to see and do was extremely helpful.”
